I agree that most drivers, with their driving habits, don't need that extra bracing, but this article goes into why some automakers do, in fact, need to eliminate the folding-seats to get rigidity...you can't always have it both ways.

Looking good. Probably the only BMW four door I would consider without a proper M badge.
