The convertible is stunning by the way. More and more I'm thinking I will buy my LS out and keep it after the lease and use it for work and lease something fun for the tax deduction. Perhaps...this
Yes but it is the lower end cars that pays the bills that allows said company to create these dream cars for the rich.

I live in NY and I saw maybe like 2 or 3 LCs on the streets in the 3yrs that it has been on sale. In May they sold 137 units and 579 units YTD and the convertible will not change that.

I totally agree, even down to the wheels (for me)

If this came in a soft-top, I'm never putting it up.....(since it never rains in so cal)

And Lexus has plenty of those and sells plenty of them. Plus, Lexus has Toyota. It doesnt have to stand on its own two feet.

I don’t think you realize why cars like the LC or LS exist. They are there because they make higher profit margins for Toyota Motor Corp. How many Corollas does Toyota have to sell to make the profit of one LC or LS model? Cars like the Platinum Tundra, LX, US spec Land Cruiser, RCF, GSF and others such as the 4Runner Night Shade edition do not cost much more to make than the lower trim models. This is where profit is the highest. Same with LC and LS from Lexus.

How many Corollas does Toyota have to sell? I intrigued.

Exactly, and they're halo aspirational cars that create the brand prestige people buy into with easier to access cheaper cars.

If Lexus had no $80k+ cars then there wouldn't be a brand to put on $45k cars.

That is one good alternative to look at it. Another is that there are people who have worked their way or started at the the Toyota brand, and want something very very nice. So someone who has some passion for Toyota will see Lexus as something they like and admire and if they have the money, an LC is it. I would love an LC if had the cash to spend on one.

I don’t remember you from past posts. But, just reading some of your posts (other threads as well). It’s like you are flaming the thread for the sake of it. There is no discussion with you. Just my thoughts.
