I wouldn't call it smashed but....

Tracy Morgan's New $2 Million Bugatti Smashed By A Honda

JUN 5, 2019 BY JAY TRAUGOTT CRASH

He bought the car one hour before. No joke.

Nearly five years to the day that a car accident nearly took his life, actor and comedian Tracy Morgan was involved in yet another accident, though this time it wasn’t anywhere near as serious. Morgan is just fine but his new car isn’t. That new (to him) car just so happens to be a 2012 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport. Less than hour after purchasing it at a dealership in Manhattan, he was driving the supercar home when he suddenly got hit by a Honda CR-V.

According to PageSix.com, Morgan was driving at 42nd Street and 10th Avenue around 1:37 p.m. when the Honda driver attempted a right turn from the left lane. Big mistake. The driver smashed into Morgan’s Bugatti. "He said he got it literally an hour ago and he paid $2 million for it,” a witness said. "He just bought it, dude, and it’s pretty scraped up. It still had a dealer tag.”

Even the employees at Manhattan Motorcars were surprised by what happened. "When I got the phone call, I said, ‘That’s Tracy’s car?’ I couldn’t believe it. That was its maiden voyage,” said Frank Pica, a sales consultant at the dealership. The Honda driver, a New Jersey resident, was reportedly on her phone when she hit the Bugatti, though police said she was not charged. Nor did she recognize the Bugatti’s owner. Immediately after the crash, Morgan became understandably "anxious because a crowd was forming.” Fortunately, he was not injured. He initially complained his left hip was hurting him, but emergency responders checked him and gave the all-clear.

"Tracy is doing fine and in no pain,” publicist Lewis Jay told The Post. "Yes he had just purchased the car and was driving when the other vehicle hit the car.” In 2014, Morgan was nearly killed when the limo he was riding in was hit from behind by a semi-truck driver who fell asleep at the wheel due to working too many hours. While the damage to his Bugatti Veyron appears totally repairable, it won't be a cheap fix. The Honda driver better have good insurance. Photos courtesy of Rober Miller/PageSix.com

From the pictures, this title is click bait. Just a few scratches and nicks.

Tracy and his Walmart settlement money :D

Joeb427 06-11-19 04:53 PM

How many thousands to repair?
I would think the paint alone is $2K+.

The article makes it sound like Morgan is some royalty that got hit by a peasant in a Honda. Also we have no idea how the accident was caused maybe Morgan was going 3x the speed limit.

A oil change on that car is $25000. The damage is going to be mighty expensive. The wheel is like $150,000

TripleL 06-11-19 07:12 PM

Minor damage. Based on what I know about Bugatti's that's min $200K damage I say.

Really not a worthy news story at all.

I can't imagine what that call with the Honda driver's insurance company went like...

Insurance co: "Can you tell me the make and model of the car you hit?"
Honda driver: "Yeah it was a... ummm..... Bugatti Veyron"
Insurance co: "Ha ha, good one, but no really, I need to know what kind of car it was"

That's not going to be cheap in any way to repair.

He can be going 100 MPH and the CRV driver will still get cited for unsafe lane change.
