As I mentioned earlier, one of the options on the CT6 is a 3.0 twin turbo V6 with 400 HP and around 400 ft-lbs. of torque, so I don't see a problem if Caddy uses the 400 ident on that vehicle.
Cadillac would not use the 400 naming in this scenario. They would use 550
But Cadillac is doing this because GM sells more vehicles outside the US than they do inside the US.
No, I think they're doing it because 400 is a bigger number than 300. Same reason they say they "round to the nearest 50", which somehow means 367 becomes 400.

If you look outside of the US. Certain countries list in Nm. I am sure China does as well. For example, look at Nissan Australia as reference. An electric leaf makes 2X the Nm rating than a Juke.

Ok--you have identified the ONE vehicle in the entire line up that will work with the new system. A car that's being discontinued.

this could not be more obviously true. It is 100% pure unadulterated marketing bull****. You need look no further for an explanation.
It’s basically Cadillac claiming to have a bigger Johnson by measuring theirs in centimeters when everyone else measures theirs in inches.
