kind of funny, but in few months when all models are refreshed, Toyota and likely Lexus will have most spread connected system as it is completely free and it is also available on many models not just premium levels. Not to mention that it also has support for Alexa, together with Android and Apple.

The bolded part is just silly. GM has had CarPlay/Android Auto available on pretty much its entire lineup for several years now, and it's standard on most, including the base model Spark, which costs just $13k. Here's just the Chevy models:
  • Aveo 2017-
  • Bolt EV 2017-
  • Camaro 2016-
  • Camaro Convertible 2016-
  • Colorado 2016-
  • Colorado/S10 2017-
  • Corvette 2016-
  • Corvette Convertible 2016-
  • Cruze 2016-
  • Cruze Hatchback 2017-
  • Equinox 2018-
  • Impala 2016-
  • Malibu 2016-
  • Onix 2017-
  • Prisma 2017-
  • Silverado 2016-
  • Silverado HD 2016-
  • Sonic 2017-
  • Spark 2016-
  • Suburban 2016-
  • Tahoe 2016-
  • Trailblazer 2017-
  • Traverse 2018-
  • Trax 2017-
  • Volt 2016-
They're also widely available across the Honda/Acura, VW/Audi and Hyundai/Kia lineups,among others.

Does BMW have AA? I think they're one of the ones that charge for CarPlay.

heh, you are right, quite few have it in the USA... in Europe it is different, BMW charges for CarPlay and does not have Android Auto and MB charges $550 for integration even in expensive cars like E class. Even VW charges $250 for integration and they are the most popular brand.

Also here most Hyundai's sold dont get big screens, base models have 5" units with no integration of course.

most widespread? Please, ford gave it to all models in u.s. at least starting with 2017 models so 3 model years ahead of toyota.

https://www.spford.com/blog-ford-app...-android-auto/

Note the article i posted first has a first sentence:

“One of the last major holdouts in adding Android Auto compatibility has finally caved.”

and toyota only announced it for 3 models in the u.s.

I mean what about camry?

No they don't do AA. They are the only manufacturer that does wireless CP as far as I'm aware, but they're also the only one that charges a subscription for the privilege, which is just a ridiculous money grab.

I suspect there’s a large correlation of bmw drivers and iphone owners (hint: image-conscious) :D

Toyota finally got the message thankfully, I wonder how?

I wonder if they will now focus on remote start operation, due out in 2040. Stay tuned

......and probably an even higher correlation of those using the iPhone while driving those BMWs.

Of course, distracting driving is not limited to BMWs....I see it in virtually anything with four wheels.
