while the news is exciting, its not going to boost sales numbers of the RC, especially if its gonna cost 100k (cause lets face it, who in their right mind would get the RC over the LC unless it came with the LFA engine)

I would definitely got a RC prior to an LC. The trunk of the LC is a joke, the roofline is much to low and the backseats are also less practicable than the RC.

Hate to say it but this and the LC500 seem like more Supra replacements then the re badged BMW roadster we are getting. Just wish they were more realistic on pricing to what people are willing to pay for a higher performance Lexus.

Teaser released

My guess is around 490 HP (with free flowing exhaust, it is easily achievable) and about 3750 lbs

Not sure what does that mean, but RCF even in standard form has its own merits. It is almost 350 lbs lighter, much smaller and more dynamically engaging especially with TVD (as proven on the track).

It's out!

Very Good : -172lbs
Good : updated suspension and looks
Not so good : +5hp (lol)
Probably really bad : $80k+ price, "Fewer than 100 examples will be available per year."

Standard RCF and track edition both have launch control. 3.9 seconds for track edition. Standard RCF has 2/10ths improvement in 0-60 mph over the previous version.

It has a lot of carbon fiber and LFA's carbon ceramic brakes so it will easily be $15K more than the RCF Carbon/TVD. It shaved off 176 lbs without taking out the rear seat and without putting lightweight seats.

Also, has shorter overall gearing (both versions) with a numerically higher final diff.

Standard RCF has weight reduction as well and more aggressive PS4S tires developed for the RCF. My only qualm with the RCF (long gearing) has been addressed as well with the new update.

5 hp is a joke.
Wish this was a regular package like BMW has Competition for M3/4.

Price will be $90-100k with carbon ceramic brakes and titanium exhaust.

What's a purpose of Track Edition when it's marginally slower than fl RC-F? I guess to boost sales of RC-F that would be the only logical choice right? Come to the dealer see the wing, miss matching carbon fiber, boy racer package only to find out that regular RC-F can do 95% of it.

Exactly, With only 60 examples in the US I expect it to be over $100k with dealer mark ups.
