Nice color. And nice move on going all out and buying your new GS. I am sure the new 19 will be just as reliable.

Congrats! Love that color. Will be interested in any other observations you have about differences between 15 and 19!

Congrats! I would have gotten that color or white if I hadn’t custom ordered. Radar cruise is amazing and lka works best in eco while following a car not sure about normal but in sport it expects you to be more engaged which makes sense. Hud spoils me cause I have to get used to driving cars without one now. I could do without the power trunk. Opening is too slow but closing is nice. Just wish they added soft close doors at refresh and it’s something the trunk does too

Congrats. The GS is a proper sports sedan and will leave you with smiles for many years to come. Did you look at used GSFs also? I'm interested if you found any in the new GS350 range.

Thanks! I suspect I'll leave LKA off except maybe longer highway drives. We have LDA on the Highlander and I don't often use it. Lots of false alarms. I am happy to have the radar cruise, though. I love it in the Highlander, and should get even more use out of it in GS as it's all-speed. Agree about the power trunk.

Thank you! I did look extensively for a used GS F. I found 2016s with about 15k miles on them could be had for around $55k. My two issues were that (1) none of them were near me, and (2) I was hesitant to give up AWD since we routinely head to the mountains in the summer months. The Highlander does well up there, but sometimes I like to take the GS and I like to have that option.

Rwd / Awd with near 50:50 weight distribution. Usually comfort is sacrificed for handling.

Congrats JDR76! I bet closure is the best feeling right now above all else as this has been eating at you for a year+.

SMG is among my top 3-4 favorite Lexus colors and why I went with the very similar Panthera Metal on my Stinger. The color is dark and deeper than all other grays out there. Beautiful!

Key words you stated... you bought it for the long haul. I would have done the same having bought it over the Stinger, hands down.

Post more pics, especially the interior!

Very nice work. The GS is an absolute stunning car that just doesn't get the credit it deserves. Love the Smokey Granite too. Really a deep and rich color that takes on several characters.
Enjoy and keep the enthusiasm. I really hope there will be another GS coming up. As you said, and I see out there too, there is still a loyal following.

Awesome GS replacement - another GS... Though seriously, congrats! If I was in your situation, which I might be in about 7-8 months, then I would have a hard time, too. I have been looking at the G70 and Stinger as possible replacement candidates for my IS, but part of me knows sticking with Lexus would be a safe bet. Especially the GS - I agree that it looks like the next GS will be no GS... So might as well pick one up while they are still hot. Hope the car treats you well.
