Default Lease end invoice? Expected charges?

Hi, all. I'm new to this forum, and hoping to get some information. I just completed my first lease, turned in the the car 2 months ago. I bought a new Lexus to replace the leased car. At the time, I never received any info from my salesman about a pre-inspection, and none of the mail communication from Lexus mentioned it. I see now, of course, that there is a lot of documentation on the Lexus site and about inspections, but I missed it all. It's been 2 months, and I've heard nothing from Lexus. I expected a reconditioning fee (I think that was what it was called) for about $350, but I don't know if they intend to charge me for any of the minor damage on the car. I did purchase an Excess Wear policy, but I'd like to know where I stand. I can call the dealer, but maybe I should let sleeping dogs lie? Is a 2-month delay normal? Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

My understanding is that if you purchased the Excess Wear Policy, then you are home free. My advice: let the dog sleep!

not entirely. the excessive wear policy only protects you up to certain amount. if the amount of damage is too much (or too many places), it might max out. granted the damage will have to be pretty bad.

Since you bought a new Lexus to replace the leased vehicle, the dealer probably just ignored any issues, or built any costs into deal for new car.
