I also like the light bar. Wouldn't be surprised if the next GX or RX go that route.

This picture is my biggest issue. Literally everything in this shot is cheap plastic. This is supposed to be a luxury vehicle right?

apparently because it's a prototype it's not representative of how the production one will be, so let's wait to see.

The bezel that surrounds the ML, Gracenote, SiriusXM, HD Radio etc.. appears to be soft'er' plastic in this photo.

I don't think we'll know until we see a production version in person

^^ that pic is interesting in having the touchpad to the right of the shifter. seems it should be to the left given the driver will want to interact with the pad much more often than the shifter? i know the remote touch 'joystick' is on the right though but that's also because it has a 'hand rest' behind it which eats a ton of space.

The radio volume controls on the hand rest are an interesting thought. Curious as to what that will be like to use.

That's a good point. I'd probably move my hand around it as I visualize the action, but it does seem a bit intrusive.

I remember when the NX came out and people commented that the shifter/selector (on the right, track pad on the left) was a questionable choice. Now they've reversed it on the UX and that's a questionable choice too. Classic can't win scenario.

its called an opinion and mine is that I prefer without.....I mean its not original, its copying something else...why not be original?? not a big deal really but a small detail that I don't like.

Thanks for your first impressions Corrado. When the photos of UX first came out i was interested and hoping it was something that would work for me. Sadly, I think it will be too small for my needs and comfort. The CT didn't work for me.

I'm back to the NX size. I'm hoping the NX will be redesigned soon now that a new RAV4 is out soon. Anyone heard anything about a new NX?

2 years from Rav4's launch is my feeling (i.e. Dec 2020).

Reason why it's to the right is the tight space inside, I guess they figured it would be a lot more comfortable if you don't cramp your arm right to your body. That's mu guess.

Anyway here is a great interior comparison between UX and new Q3 especially the interior part

UX

Q3
