I heard that these days, the bigger the company, the greater the efficiency of operation, hence profits.
Thus, Fiat-Chrysler, and now Hyundai I guess...

Fiat 500. After 3 months it just died at the mall parking lot. Dealer towed it and fixed it. After 3 months same happened. Then he traded 6 months old Fiat for a new Journey with 4 banger engine. Now there is a rumor Hyundai is considering buying FCA. They had a chance to buy Volvo but they did not but considering about FCA?
If Hyundai/Kia can implement the same kind of design and quality control for Fiat and Chrysler products that they have done for their own vehicles in the last couple of decades, then Fiat's days of being at the bottom of quality surveys may be over. That might take a few years, but would be on the horizon.

Fiat will give them better access to the European market and in the US, Jeep and Ram trucks are profitable.
