PLANO, Texas (June 1, 2018) – Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) today reported May 2018 sales of 215,321 vehicles, a decrease of 1.3 percent from May 2017 on a volume basis. With one more selling day in May 2018 compared to May 2017, sales were down 5.1 percent on a daily selling rate (DSR) basis.

Toyota division posted May sales of 189,930 units, down 1.5 percent on a volume basis and down 5.3 percent on a DSR basis.

Lexus division posted May sales of 25,391 vehicles, down 0.1 percent on a volume basis and down 3.9 percent on a DSR basis.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 1, 2018 – Hyundai Motor America reported April sales of Hyundai- and Genesis-branded vehicles of 56,063 units, an 11 percent decline in comparison with April 2017. Despite the overall decline there were several significant gains as Hyundai’s SUV family continues to set records.For the second consecutive month, Hyundai set an all-time record in monthly SUV sales with 25,618 units sold. Tucson also continued its strong run setting another monthly sales record and exceeding 12,000 units for the first time with a 30 percent increase over last April. This is the 14th month in a row with a new monthly record for Tucson. Hyundai’s new subcompact SUV Kona is also finding its footing in the segment with quickly turning inventory, a high-level of conquest in early data, and sales growth of 40 percent compared with March 2018. The Hyundai Ioniq also had a strong month with sales increasing 36 percent year-over-year.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In its second full month at INFINITI retailers, the all-new 2019 QX50 luxury crossover, powered with the world's first variable compression engine, was up more than 51 percent, contributing to its best May with 1,859 deliveries. Boosted by the increased traffic that the all-new QX50 is bringing to INFINTI showrooms, the QX60 7-passenger luxury crossover also saw an 8 percent increase, bringing its second best May with more than 3,700 delivered. In total, INFINITI reported deliveries of 11,625 vehicles in the U.S. during May, down 7 percent against last year's record.

Mercedes-Benz Vans reported best-ever May sales of 3,101 units (up 1.1%) and smart reported 110 units, bringing MBUSA to a grand total of 30,187 vehicles for the month. On a year-to-date basis, Mercedes-Benz recorded sales of 132,657, adding 14,102 units for Vans and 524 vehicles for smart, MBUSA’s year-to-date sales volume totaled 147,283.

Subaru of America, Inc. today reported 60,146 vehicle sales for May 2018, a 7.2 percent increase over May 2017, and the best May in the history of the company. The company also reported year-to-date sales of 263,019 vehicles, a 4.1 percent gain over the same period in 2017.

May marked the 51st consecutive month of 40,000+ vehicle sales for the company. Crosstrek and Outback sales were notably strong as each model achieved its best May ever. Crosstrek sales for May 2018 increased 74.4 percent over the same month in 2017 and marked the best month ever for the carline. Outback posted a nearly 10 percent increase, while WRX/STI posted 2.1 percent increase in May.

(PCNA), importer and distributor of the Porsche 911, 718 Boxster and Cayman, Panamera, Macan and Cayenne model lines, today announced May 2018 sales of 5,005 vehicles. This represents year-over-year growth of 4.2 percent, the fifth consecutive monthly record since January. Overall, sales for the first five months are up 6.4 percent from a year ago to 24,529 vehicles.
"This is a new level of Porsche fascination. May was the first time our dealers delivered more than 5,000 cars a month for two months in a row, after April's all-time record of 5,570," said Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of PCNA. "The story of this year so far is the strong performance across our model lines, from the iconic Porsche 911 and 718 to our new generation Panamera and best-selling Macan."May growth leaders were the 718 Boxster and Cayman, which combined grew 31.8 percent from May 2017, followed by the Macan at 29.5 percent.
