A5 sportback is a head turner
I saw my first one last week in black with the S styling package - someone in my neighborhood got it (I think they got rid of their A6). Then I saw 2 more in south FL this week - they were both dark grey and had the S styling package as well. I've also seen an S5 sportback roaming around town and it looks awesome as well. Audi nailed the exterior design IMO - the view from the side is really appealing as the angles from the roof line to the trunk (and design of the back passenger windows) looks like the perfect blend of sport and modern design. The car from behind is stunning as well and the front is classic Audi. Haven't seen the interior in-person yet but I'm a huge fan of the exterior. To me, this may be the most visually-appealing mid-size 4 door uxury duo (A5 and S5) in the market. I know the A7 is a bit polarizing but curious for the general consensus on these new models.

Car and Driver recently did a comparison test that included the A5 Sportback (205 pts.), BMW 430i Grand Coupe (182 pts.) and Kia Stinger (182 pts.). It was an interesting read with the Stinger doing pretty well overall but they really liked the A5.

Definitely a solid look, and super sharp, chiseled lines in the recent Audi mold.
I like that the Kia Stinger, to me, is the goldilocks size, just between the A5/S5 and the A7/S7. Yields a bit more room for the back seat, while not getting too long.

The A5 Sportback has been sold for years but not in North America. It’s only been on sale here for the past year or more. I’ve been in love with it’s styling every since I laid eyes on it. Last fall I stopped by the local Audi dealer and of course they had none in stock. In fact, they said the models on the way were already sold. But patience is my friend. The refresh models will most likely get the all new interior treatments we’ve seen on the new A8, A7 and A6.

Warmed up nicely to the new sportback. It looks even better in person than in photos. I'd still stick to 2-door though if I was entertaining this car.
