Lexus installed poly-film hood protector

Default Lexus installed poly-film hood protector
2013 RX had 10 mil poly protector installed a dealer option. A brown mold/mildrew is growing in the 3M adhesive. Lexus says it is not their problem. Has anyone else had this problem and how do recommend solving it?

Take it to a detail shop that does clear bras - they will remove it and get rid of any issues.

If it was a dealer option then it is there problem tell them to fix it, are you the only owner of the car?

I would carefully read your ppwk from when you bought this optional item - most clear bras are guarunteed for around 5 years.

Not a big deal, just remove it or have it removed.

Surprised the dealer wouldn't just do that to satisfy you

^^^^^ well in Florida it IS kinda a big deal - love bugs go nuts down there so a clear bra is VERY useful.

The little strip they put on from Lexus though doesn’t do a whole lot...
