I just received a letter from my local dealer, whom I usually do not purchase my cars from for $2500 towards a new lease along with a 9 month pull ahead to take advantage of the command performance event. I am aware that Lexus typically does the 6 month pull ahead, but never so far ahead as 9 months. Is this a ploy for dealers to get me in their showroom or does it sound legit? Did anyone else get something similar in the mail, 9 months before their lease expired?

Six months is typical but 9 months to even a year before lease end is not unheard of. Dealers want your low mileage lease return. Lexus has been very aggressive and successful with CPO the last two years, (Lexus CPO 2 years/unlimited miles + remaining factory warranty and 4 complimentary services). Lexus may not be selling as many new cars, but every month their CPO sales are growing.

It could be something legit. I'd say it depends if they try to bury some of the premature lease turn in loss into your new monthly payments.
