AoA review... man it looks plain...

Knockoff or no, I actually like the K9's taillight design better. It's more interesting to look at and isn't nearly identical to the design used on any of their other models.

I don't mind the exterior... It's growing on me. Very stately design however, definitely inspired by the S-Class (which isn't a bad place to take inspiration from). The interior is impressive. Miles better than the previous gen K900 and from a design POV, I think I actually prefer it to anything out of Audi lately. Can't wait to see more once car reviewers are able to get their hands on them for review. Great job, Kia.
Also, as gimmicky as it is, the Pantone interior ambient lighting is a nice touch.

I keep getting flashes of a Buick Roadmaster or Chevy Caprice grill from the 90s...
Notwithstanding the sedate exterior, interior looks good and competitive in its price range.
Agree with Jill, I see Bentley first then some Benz at the rear.

Genesis copies Bentley wth the winged-badge....why not Kia with the taillights? I don't see where it is a big deal. Almost everyone today, to some extent, copies someone else, somewhere. A truly original design is hard to do nowadays, simply because of the huge number of different designs that have been introduced over the years. No matter what you introduce, you run at least some risk of cloning someone else.

But man, that front end on the K900 is especially in white, nowhere near the sexier sketch we all were expecting.

MM agree and let's not forget all the standardized environmental and safety constraints imposed on car manufacturers, which further dampens design differentiation.

Yes certain similarities are hard to avoid, but the K900 rear is a complete copy of the E-class. It's very deliberate.
They even put the "K900" badge in the exact location Mercedes put theirs. I wouldn't be surprised if its even the same font.

It should have a different/better engine then a Stinger, at least as a option.

Why? This is the same engine as most of the G90s have and it is plenty powerful. The V-8 in the G90 has a very marginal performance improvement even on the 0-60 runs. Since sales are going to be low, the single drivetrain makes it easier to stock. Look for only 5 color paint options and 2 or 3 interior colors.
