Too early for the GS mules to be out in the wild like that. This is the new ES. We'll see GS mules sometime next year.
Remember, Lexus has to milk their biggest cow first, before the GS is released.

Are those the same wheels in the new pics as the old pic?

Looking at both pics of the trunk outline, looks to be identical leading me to believe this is the ES.

Also on the new pictures, the rear I can only see one exhaust outlet. This is probably an ES hybrid.
The width and colour of that licence plate confirm that it is an EU plate. The "B" under the EU's 12 stars says that this is a Belgian-registered car. Toyota Europe's headquarters are in Brussels, Belgium, north of Waterloo. Comparing pictures I found, I am led to believe that these pictures were taken in the memorial park that was Napolean's final battlefield in Waterloo, Belgium.

The exhaust outlet appears hidden (pointing down behind the lower bumper), with no outlet holes in the rear bumper, as it is on the ES Hybrid. So I would agree that this looks like a Hybrid (and probably an ESh).

This thing doesn’t look like a future GS model.
At least I hope it’s not. Probably the new ES (as others have stated).

The 4GS didn’t do well in Europe. And now 7ES mules are spotted in Belgium. What does that tell us about the 5GS?

absolutely nothing. It’s the appropriate time for the 7es test cars to be out testing.

A quick glance at the pics shows a smaller car than the GS. Another vote for the ES hybrid.
And it's looking quite pleasant thus far. Decent body proportions, nicely concealed and filled-out wheel wells, sporty taillight angles (if that's it), lower front/higher boot, and rear underjunk nicely hidden.

My vote goes to the next ES as well.

If you look very closely (might have to squint), you can see that they covered up part of the window on the rear door, aft of the posts. You can see it as a very thin, bent, black line running from a point above the rear fender, directly above the rear wheel, to the rearmost point of the glass. That marks the actual edge of the rear door/window. So the actual C-pillar is nowhere near as wide as it first appears to be in the picture.

The pictures of the this new car looks it should be an ES model, but why would Lexus bring the ES to Belgium. Makes very little sense

Can't we leave a little bit of mystery to it? Don't see how a ES would be testing in Belgium

I still dont get why Lexus needs to sell ES and GS.
The sales people steer avg customer to the ES anyway bec its way cheaper and has more room inside.

This new ES will look very sporty and will follow in Camry's footsteps by offering more dynamic handling.

I wish Lexus can take the LC styling language, make a 4 door coupe and call it a GS to compete with new 8Series GC, Audi A7, and MB CLS.

hopefully no symbolism in that as napoleon's troops were slaughtered.

Then why all the discussion. I don't see any reason for the ES to be in Belgium. Is the current ES sold in Europe?
