Thanks for the update, Hoovey but... the shapes they've chosen make me sad. I hope this won't dilute the Mustang line by diverting buyers who are sold on the shape alone (with four doors and a very significant lift of course). If that does happen then it might threaten the profitability of all but the upmarket 5.0 V8 GT Mustangs and the Shelby and other special performance editions. Ultimately sales being stolen away by a crossover "Mustang" that would probably not be good for the actual Mustang to exist as a semi-affordable muscle car, especially in the editions that don't break $30k MSRP.

Very few added details here but apparently the guy who oversaw the 2015 redesign of the Mustang is also responsible for this crossover. He's not the chief engineer of either vehicle though.
