I heard re-manufactured engines are bad anyway along w/starters, alternators, etc.

Only bad if the wrong people are doing the work. And most all are under paid, don't know or care about the job, so the consumer suffers.

That reminds me of DSM graveyard in kalazoo Michigan that guy was a rip off artist, much like the place posted above.
