Default 2010 Impala clicking noise behind glovebox

I opened glove box and cannot FEEL the actuator clicking. I can, however, see the black and whote plastic box of some sort behind black plastic slats ( looks like venting) and this box is slightly jumping up and down causing the clicking. Attempting to post video. What is the issue and how to fix clucking DOES stop when I turn air to RECIRCULATE. It does click when car is parked even after parked for couple days.

That is probably the cabin fresh air filter. When you set the climate control for fresh air, outside air is filtered through that filter but if you set to recirculate, no outside air comes in so no air goes through that filter.

Sounds like something may be loose.

did you mess with the filters lately?

I remember the 3GS had to be set in recirc mode to remove the filter, and some people broke the box by neglecting to set recirc when trying to change it out.
this resulted in noise.

maybe the impala is similar

No I have not changed or touched filters. Just started one day out of blue. Interesting. How can I get to this filter? Any suggestions on how to check this out? Thank you in advance.
