I wonder how many lbs it weighs?
It has a massive battery pack - not just to give a whopping 620 mile range, but also because full throttle acceleration 0-60 in just 1.9 seconds would use so much energy!
We need a 200 kW-hr battery pack just to have enough energy to do repeated full bore acceleration.
There was a regular poster who's thinking is that PHEV's neutralize itself, because the extra weight of the bigger batteries neutralize the acceleration.
However, I believe just like this Tesla roadster that the extra battery capacity and energy stored, will allow repeated full throttle acceleration, which will use up a lot of energy, hence the need for a bigger battery pack.

My thoughts too. Musk is really stretching it with the Semi Truck and Roadster both of which are years away, and Model 3 production is far from ramped up. Even if they were to go bankrupt, I'm sure there's some billionaires out there ready to pounce at ownership. The reveal last night saw a $13 dollar spike per share, though its settled down a few hours later (still higher than yesterday morning though).

On another issue, but related to a 0-60 time that quick, although the headrest and/or high seatback will help, just think of what kind of G-force someone's spine and neck could take from that kind of acceleration. Back in the early 1960s, the small Shelby AC Cobra roadster with the big Ford 427 in it (arguably the fastest street-legal car then in production), which was nowhere near as fast as this car, required bracing one's neck carefully before hammering the throttle.
