If anybody is interested in a nice Kia Sedona trade, mine is listed now:

I'll be interested to see if they can get that price for it (they paid me $25,000)...

Oh details, details. It was only a little fire!
Yes it was lol, but it was just cosmetic damage to the front bumper. No different than having a bumper hit in the front that required a new bumper cover, grille, and headlights. Knowing exactly what was done to it I would buy it again.

Ohh the dealer wasn’t even asking much! Last time I traded my one year old Sienna to BMW, they gave me 20k even, and sold it for 28k the next week!!! How do I know? One of my client bought it! Ha! You should see the look of his face when I told him how much I sold it for....

I brought back this thread (no need to start another one on the subject) to add that I just got an E-Mail from a former co-worker of mine, who mentioned that he also got a new 2017 Pacifica. Generally satisfied with it, and not a lot of complaints, except that he claims it has a "mind of its own" that sometimes wins out over his. Just exactly what he meant by that, I'm not sure , though I suspect it may be the U-Connect Infotainment system and him just maybe not being used to it (or to the rotary-shifter). I'm waiting for a reply back on that, so I understand more of what he's referring to. He's also got questions and wants advice on another possible sale (replacing the family's Jeep Patriot)...but I won't get into that in detail here, as it is a Pacifica thread.

Update.....Jack (my ex-co-worker) got back with me today on his Pacifica. Pretty much as I thought....the electronics and videos are a little more than he can easily chew, but otherwise, no problems.

A horrifying thought lol
We don't have any problems operating the uConnect theater, the issue is just the lockout from the front screen when moving and being unable to start DVDs on the go.
So our first trip was a resounding success, van did great. Loading it up tonight fpr the longer trip tomorrow, 360 miles to southern WV. We'll have mountains and all on this trip, looking foreward to seeing how the Pacifica does.
Got 24 MPG on the highway which is excellent IMHO at 80MPH fully loaded.

Yes, we were both in the FAA, in the same section. We both worked on aeronautical charts, both visual and instrument flight procedures, and publications of airport technical information. (we actually did a lot of the background work on products that controllers need). I was also a licensed pilot and Ground Instructor, and, for a time, a volunteer tour guide at the National Air and Space Museum. .....Jack wasn't, though he worked with Boy Scouts, on the side, as a Troop leader. He was older than me, and retired several years earlier.
(I love talking about planes as much as I do cars, but don't really get into it much here, as it is a car forum)
