Lexus genuine dash camera
#16
Cannot figure out why the insurance companies are not insisting that "dash cams" become standard equipment. (Maybe they see that video works both ways???).
I have heard (but not followed up) that new Corvettes have cameras in the cabin (why I am not sure).
I have tried one a few years back and returned it.... Maybe they have improved and if the mounting options have evolved and I may look again.

i am interested to see if anyone installed it and can comment.
the price is $450+ HST installed (CDN) So far it is only in Canada.

it says only compatible for 2017/2018 models. i am thinking they have new wire harness for dash cam in rear view mirror area so they do not need to run wire along A pillar to fuse box.

Reviving this thread...
I got one this week in my brand new 2018 NX300 F Sport - Wouldn't pay for it but managed to get it for free from the vendor as part of my negotiation with the dealer ! OEM and dealer installed (for free) with a 4 years warranty was a deal I couldn't let go by
For now, it's very interesting, direct wired, neat install, detecting g-force impact (sensitivity is adjustable) even with the car is parked and not running, GPS, auto-recording, auto saving if impact, manual recording, "surveillance mode", has wi-fi network of it's own to connect your mobile device to and read videos instead of removing the micro-SD card, very wide screen, has PC and MAC viewing software (If you're like me, yes it's Mac OS compatible) with resolution of 1280x800 on Mac and 1024x768 (xvga) on PC... everything the specs sheets says ...
Viewing software is made by Fujitsu, have yet to discover for the device itself
I will "play" with it a bit and report later ... Only thing bugging me for now is that they install the antenna for the remote starter (we don't have it as OEM on Canada) next to it and it's wide-angle lens get parts of it in his lower left corner ... not hiding much but still.. Will have the dealer look at it next time there
