So because I won’t or will or cannot buy a LS. I can’t like or dislike it?

Good observation.

It sounds like you like cars that are fast with sharp reflexes and quick steering. You obviously made a big mistake buying a ‘16 LS460. It’s not a fun to drive car. It’s produces adequate power, exceptional dependability and extreme comfort. I think you would’ve been happier if you would’ve bought a GS350 F Sport or better yet a V8 GS-F. I also like fast cars and own several fast cars currently. But I wouldn’t go shopping at a Lexus store expecting to find a fast car or exciting car. I drive my Lexus GS to the grocery store and I use it to go shopping and I park it at the airport. It’s comfortable, fuel efficient and very reliable. If you want fast the S7 is a good choice for you and I’m glad you found something that makes you happy.

I’ve test driven a few Audi’s and they are okay, but not my cup of tea. Ultimately I chose the GS350 over the Audi A6 3.0T as a daily driver because several car magazines said the Lexus was the sportier and better handling car. I also test drove a A6 3.0 TFSI with the sport pack back to back with a GS F sport and I found the GS more amusing and it had plenty of passing power. Yes the A6 was faster in a straight line, but that wasn’t a main priority for my daily driver. I have a C63 AMG and new Porsche Cayman 981S in the garage for when I wanna go fast.
Don't agree on the 93. All the German cars which require premium, are a) sold in CA as they have CA emissions b) will say 91 on the fuel door

Yes, I do agree that typically CA only has 91

Lexus claims their performance numbers are based on 91 or higher .

Just drove the LS500. It was spec'd out to $104K, everything but the executive package basically. The LS460 is a wonderful car, and the LS500 is not perfect, but it is a step in the right direction. I'll be taking the car overnight sometime next week, and will report back. That's all I'll say for now hah!

If the LS500 is over 100K now (even maxed-out) that's not far from what the LS600 hybrid used to run.

Give him a chance, Jill, until he gets the car overnight next week for a decent test-drive. He might not (?) have gotten enough of a road-test this time for an adequate write-up. I don't write full-reviews, for example, for the couple-of-city-blocks test-drives they do at the D.C. Show....it is simply inadequate.

Well then, so much more. The point is that the LS is clearly in Tier-One luxury-pricing territory. Some posters, here in Car Chat, have argued that the LS is not a true Tier-1 product. I disagree.

Correct, I drove and considered an LS460L with a $101,000 price tag, that car didn't even have the executive rear seat package, so it would have been even more totally loaded.

Looking forward to your thoughts Hoovey!

Its interesting, base they are cheaper than the LS460L, but optioned up they are a little more expensive. My 460L was $89,400, and optioned similarly I spec'ed out a 500 at about $91,700.

Going to have some long-legged clients in the back seat?

Looking forward to your thoughts Hoovey!
Same here. Not a car I would be buying, but it will be interesting to see how the ride, handling, and general refinement/road manners are, compared to the last one.

Long legged kids lol. Mines an LS460L too, what it lacks that $101k one had is AWD, the UL package with the reclining rear seats, 4 zone climate, sunshades and all, the more advanced safety system with lane keep, etc.

IMO bigger is better. I also like how the extra wheelbase cars look, its a subtle difference, but to the trained eye the LWB cars look a lot more imposing, more formal. Same goes for LWB 7 series BMW, S-class benz, Audi A8, you want that longer length. And since when did a woman complain about excess length lol.

Didn't this thing just launch? Because the local dealer sent me an email to stay tuned for the event, and it seems to have come and gone lol

Dealers are funny, their marketing is like swiss cheese sometimes, the BMW dealer apparently made a mistake last week saying they had SEPTA tix for the Super Bowl parade come on in and get them. Then, Wednesday night, they send another email saying get 9% off service Thu. only (Nick Foles #) off sorry about the mistake we don't have any transit tix. Weird.
