I have a 2015 RX300 F series. Recently the gear inicators changed from pure white to white with black criss crosses. What made the change and what do I do about it?

You state that you have a 2015 RX300 F. There (apparently) is no such vehicle. The last RX300 was produced (roughly) 15 years ago....in 2003.

 

I think he means RX 350 F Sport...

I'm guessing your display is having an issue. If it's still under warranty, I'd just take it to the dealer and have them take a look at it.

Also, a photo of your issue would be helpful.

 

For the 2015 F Sport, I don't believe the gear indicator was ever truly solid, so maybe it's just remembering incorrectly? The lettering P,R,N,D etc was always segmented, you can make out the lines in this stock type pic below.



Of course with the redesigned 2016 and on models, the display itself was upgraded significantly.
