Looks more like the new Maxima, which isn't a bad thing, I think its one of Nissan's better designs. Roof doesn't look as sloping as the new Accord's either, but then again it has that no trunk lid/mail slot for a trunk opening sort of look like a lot of newer sedans.

family sedans just got a bit more exciting. This one looks really overstyled though. Lots of creases going in random directions on the side of the car. There's one curving downward from the taillight , and I wonder where it goes. It diverges a lot from the top crease, and looks incongruent. It's the same kind of limp curve ending in the front wheel that made the Sonata look cheap a few generations ago, except this altima's curve appears to end even lower.

- I like the flatbottom steering wheel.
- Push button start looks silly in that location.
- Automatic shifter looks dated as hell.
- Floating screen trend in cars is really annoying.
- I'll drive it for free using my Enterprise rental points.

Smiley grille will likely ruin the front styling, like it does on the Maxima. Rear roofline and trunk look much better here than on the new Accord Crossturd sedan.

Anything is better than the current design.
This looks promising.

It looks better than the current one, which isn't saying much. I have always found the Altima to be one of the ugliest cars on the road for the past 25 years.

The interior looks good on this one.

Lots of cars are going to that now days, and I agree, it looks dumb and tacked on. Keep in mind we are in the smartphone and tablet age, so expect design motifs to show up in cars, ie the screens looking more like a tablet instead of integrated into the dash. Same thing with all the cars in the late 1950's having rocket inspired styling features due to the space race.

Really though, I think its a cost savings thing. Cheaper to mount the screen like in the picture above than to design and mold the dash around it. Also I hate the flat bottom steering wheel, doesn't feel good in the hands IMO. They're just copying that design from Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc so they can say their cars are "sporty". Saw that exact same wheel in a base model Rogue the other day, no leather wrap even.
