The writer on the HP said every enthusiast would be shaken by this commercial, and I know I sure was. How about you?

Pfftt, when that happens, I'll still have my good ole "Earth killing", not ECO friendly gas guzzlers in the garage and I'll get gas from pirates if I need to.... they'll take them from my cold dead hands!

My thoughts exactly. I may like a smooth, quiet, cocoon-like car that isolates one from the road surface....but I still want to be in control of it.

At some point, likely within our lifetime, driving yourself will just be straight up illegal in a lot of places. The piloted car with become like horses are now — toys for the super rich.

Yeah, I'll put my finger on that......the middle one LOL.

Seriously, I do envision one possible good use for self-driving cars....they can ultimately help people who are otherwise too old or infirm to drive to keep their independence longer or require less assistance in day-to-day life (and, let's face it........none of us are getting any younger).

Driverless cars might be fine - if they're confined to their own roads. AI doesn't mix well with human intelligence (or lack of it).
