Default Help!! Big Buy Today! 2014 GS350 vs 2014 E350 MB

I'm making a huge purchase today and I'm having a hard time deciding on which vehicle to take. The analogy I use is Iphone vs Android. The GS has all the bells and whistles but the MB is sleek and has all the style..

In the LONG run, which would be the better buy? The E350 has 45k miles and priced at $27k and the GS350 has 30k mikes and prices at $31k.The both ride smooth and nice to look at lol but I need more help. The salesman is more of a Lexus guy so he's pretty bias but please offer your options. FYI, I will be getting a 5/6 yr warranty on either one when purchased.

white cars for the lose... gs looks good there. and bulletproof reliable. and, to me, nicer interior than prior gen e class.

Welcome to CL.

You might want to edit your title: You'll find that under the Go Advanced" feature.

"Help!! Big Buy Today! 2014 GS350 vs 2014 E350 MB."

I'd go with the GS, hands-down. Fewer miles on it, potential better reliability of the Lexus nameplate, and somewhat less-expensive service at Lexus dealerships than at Mercedes. That's an honest opinion, too....I'm not just saying that because this is primarily a Lexus forum.

Good Luck.

Default The GS price little high

This is the GS you are looking at: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/701025975/overview/?aff=share_text

If you are going for GS, you should ask for lower the price, look like it is a "bare" F-sport, no ML, no Rear steering, no HU display. I think the black wheels not available until 2015 for Craft Line.

White car for the win! Though I like charcoal too.
i would get the E350 if getting the warranty as well, just sell it when warranty expires

If still unsure, go to the MB forums. See what kind of issues the MB has compared to the GS. If you plan on keeping the car, I would go Lexus.

Seeing as how you spend more time inside of it than outside looking at it, choice should be obvious

Brand new Mercedes E350 is more expensive than GS350, and it is sold much much more than GS, there are reasons!
If you can not make decision, you should look at what others did.

I owned a '13 GS F Sport for 3 years and only traded it because I wanted a coupe (now traded again for a sedan). I never had one issue with it. It was rock-solid reliable. I also had the Cabernet interior and never tired of it. It looks sharp in Nebula Gray.

I will say I like the looks of the E Class, but I would be concerned with 45k miles.

E350 is one of the most boring cars I ever drove. Go with the GS.

i believe there is no new e350 right now, only the e300 or e43.

I'd avoid both since they have been modded. Usually abuse and problems are behind most modded cars. But if you were really feeling risque, the GS all the way. It's a far wiser choice for ease of ownership and longterm reliability.
