wonder not. their chances of not being caught on either item were 'worth it' to them...
it's a good job you're detail-oriented.

what kind of dealer was this you bought the truck from?

Well I did get my reimbursement for the sales tax and title fees that the dealer collected from me.

Now to finally move on from this and enjoy the truck.

They actually overnighted it last monday and it arrived on Tuesday. I was camping all week so I didn't actually get it until yesterday when I got back into my office.

Nice. I see it's stainless steel. That will probably last you the life of the vehicle, especially if you keep it clean and/or do not damage it on road-debris.

Yeah, especially here in Lost Wages where we don't get any moisture or salt. Wonder what will go first, the SS muffler or aluminum truck.

I figured it was a crime not to let the Coyote be heard. The engine has a beautiful note but it could stand to be a bit louder and have more rumble. This muffler is very popular on the F150 forums, and it will really enhance the sound of the truck without turning me into that ******* who wakes the neighbors. I've been told it has zero drone on the highway, and it doesn't have a raspy sound like most flowmasters.

So last week, some kids tossed something off of a bridge at my truck while i was driving on the freeway. It was loud as hell but I didn't initially spot any damage.

Today I found it.

Ouch!

On another matter, what is going on with the rain channel/weld strip on the side of that picture? Doesn't look right...

Haven't had time to get the muffler welded on yet due to tax season, but I did order some new bilstein shocks for the rear which I'll probably put on in the next couple weeks. This should alleviate some of the rough riding. Ford failed to anticipate how the low weight of the aluminum would impact the ride quality and accordingly the factory shocks are garbage. $77 each for the rear shocks ain't a bad deal. Should take me about 15-30 minutes to swap them out. Then the rear end won't try to pass me on washboard roads.

Eventually I'll do the fronts just to level it a bit, but that costs a lot more $$$

my friend's platinum or limited or whatever loaded '16 f150 seems to ride very smoothly, do they change things up a bit on the high end package?

April 15 is only for Federal returns that don't have an extension. Not only that, but state tax deadlines also sometimes run later than April as well.

Agreed. I noticed a (somewhat) smoother ride than its predecessor on the all-aluminum F-150 I reviewed...still not as smooth as the Dodge Ram's. Maybe BrettJacks has a different suspension-package, though, on his than the ones that you or I sampled.
