As the title states, what are some current car commercials you've seen recently that are well done in your opinion?

I'll start with two I liked.

2018 Volkswagen Atlas "Luv Bug"


Lexus High Performance "Leave a Mark"

This is a great commercial, because it made me laugh my butt off then and now.

IMO, most of the newer ads are in insult to one's intelligence...the ones from decades ago were much better. I especially liked the 90s-vintage "Mr. Lexus" ads with smooth-talking actor James Sloyan. The VW ads from the 1960s, featuring the old air-cooled models, are also quite nicely-done....though those vehicles, in fact, could be a handful to drive.

haha the VW love was the one I was going to post when I saw the thread title. Makes me chuckle.

Yeah, a number of those old VW ads won awards. They were a refreshing change from the typical in-your-face auto marketing of the period.

Watching Mad Men, they had a scene about the VW Bug ads. All the young guys liked it, the older guys HATED it(along with the car), but nonetheless, Don concluded that they had been talking about it for the last 15 minutes. Brilliant piece of ad work.

As for some ads that have really stuck with me, Honda's van ads really resonated, for the rocking soundtrack and cool visuals. Might also help that I'm a huge Judas Priest fan.

Reading the thread title, the first one that popped to mind was going to be the VW love commercial. However, I find it just as annoying as entertaining. Can you imagine how many children watching that with their parents during dinner are going to ask them what the rocking car means? Poor parents! And I also can't help but think how dumb it is these two people can't get a room and only seem to make babies in the seat of a car? Strange obsession.

I know this isn't recent at all, 10 years old in fact, but I have to say, it may be my all time favorite. A close runner up would be the GS commercial "moments"

I'll agree it is an interesting commercial. But (and I'll probably take some heat for this).........I always thought the CLS was butt-ugly. I am not a fan of the 4-door droop-roof design and slit-hole windows.
