Default OEM versus Repro wheels

I am thinking about going to 18" GS460 style wheels on my G2 GS430. How much difference is there between oem and repro wheels? How are they different? What's the best supplier of reproduction Lexus wheels?

Would that be from personal experience? What is not as good? What companies product? I want 5 matching wheels. New oem is more than the car is worth. Even used oems would be expensive, and in a set of 5 likely to be some curb rash. Not sure about"reconditioned" either.

Don't get replicas. Find a set of take offs.

Yeah buy OEM Toyota wheels, even if they have a few scuffs on them. You can get wheels refinished for about $100 a pop if they have curb damage. Can't tell the difference.

I hear all kinds of horror stories with cheap aftermarket wheels. A lot of them won't balance because they aren't round. Then some of them crack, like the one below. Or just catastrophically fail. Mainly its the chinese knockoff wheels that are designed to look an OEM or more expensive aftermarket wheel.

Also speaking from personal experience, don't buy a staggered setup, buy something you can rotate. I have a staggered set on my SC300, eats rear tires like crazy, then the front ones get weird wear on the outer edge because you can't rotate them.
