Thing is just nuts. I would love to own one, but I fear an MSRP around $85K and with "market adjustment" will end up far over $100k. There will be 3000 lucky owners, can't wait to see some actual press reviews.

2.3 sec? Wonder if anyone can get a number close to it in real world, and it's RWD!!!
Isn't so far any production cars can do under 3 second has AWD? Porsche 911 Turbo S, Bugatti, and GTR comes to mind.
btw watched the video on the website, its cray cray! I wouldn't wanna own one as daily, tires prob last a month, always careful about right foot, getting tickets for unintentional speeding/noise, or kill myself 'living quarter mile at a time'

WOW!!!!! I think the boys at FCA have gone off the deep end, this has to be one of the wildest production cars I've ever seen.
I'm thinking that the performance figures quoted were done at a drag strip sprayed with VHT(sticky stuff they spray on the track for better traction) and the stock tires are drag radials. Impressive none the less, but I'm betting they aren't getting that 2.1 second 0-60 time on a non-prepped surface(aka a public road). Still, all hail the king since it is faster through the quarter mile than a Bugatti Veyron.

as impressive as the performance figures are im pretty sure those numbers were all recorded at the drag strip where of course the surface is alot stickier then the street. Also i know they have a setting for it where you can run race gas which im sure those performance numbers were based on as well. Last but not least this thing comes with a 2 step and a trans brake from the factory which also really helps the car launch hard at the drag strip. Unfortunately anyone who buys this cant even run it at the drag strip since the nhra banned it for not having the proper safety equipment for the e.t. it runs....any car that is 08 or newer has to have a rollcage and other equipment if they go faster then a 9.99 in the 1/4

Together, they are. It runs 315/40R18 drag radials, which are about 12.5" wide each. Combine that huge, sticky contact patch with a soft sidewall and a trans brake that lets you pre-load them, and this thing will launch HARD.

Getting back to that, will the Demon come with a full factory warranty??? I have no doubt the engine will hold up to serious abuse, but its the rest of the drive-line I'm really wondering about. Guys with this much horsepower running at the drag strip are almost always running a pretty simple live axle rear suspesnion(usually a Ford rear end as they are the strongest per $$$), there are a lot fewer parts to break vs an independent setup like this Dodge is running. Same thing with the transmission, its usually a built GM TH400 3 speed, not something nearly as complex.
