imho sales is just that, compensation (large) for performance. Has anyone ever spent serious time with a sales team, it's pretty interesting. Dinners at the Capital Grille (Super Bowl tix, trips, games, golf, etc.) are just the tip of the iceberg, but it is interesting to see the machine in operation. So whatever his goals were, the fact that he did not meet them, is grounds to fire him. I would say imho Hyundai was on its way up 2010-2012, I do not feel that way today...
