Obviously, you haven’t experienced the locomotive force torque that these diesels offer. A 4 cylinder gas turbo has snap, but just doesn’t compare in torque. That’s where these diesels shine. I test drove a BMW 550d & that thing would fry the tires & still get mid 30s on the highway all day long. That’s from a 3.0 straight six turbo Diesel engine. It was beautifully smooth & responsive. I should have bought that car, but I was scared of a used diesel & the dealer was 200 miles away.
