Off the top of my head either an Accord Touring V6 or Accord Sport.. I know the Touring is a step above the Sport, but I really like the way the Sport looks..

2017 Ford Mustang GT base model. The current gen Mustang is the only Ford that I like & afford at the same time.

Non luxury I'd probably choose a Ford Focus ST.

Luxury I'd go with an Infiniti Q50 2.0t. Base starts at $33,950.

Forgot you can get a V8 Mustang for that price. It blows the doors off a V6 Camaro or 5.7 liter Hemi Challenger that you get for the same price. Its plenty practical as well, PITA for rear seat passengers, but the trunk is decent, rides nice, quiet, comfortable, feels well screwed together(something I could not say about past Mustangs).

At the same time for 33k, you can buy a new Miata with every option on it. Or buy the base model for about 25k(bet that there is about 5 or 6 base models with no options on dealer lots in the whole country), then have 8k left over for a junky pickup or a lame sedan to drive when the weather is crap or you need to haul stuff/people.
