What's in your vehicle?
A crate to hold a bunch of the junk so it does not slide around, battery jump pack, jumper cables, sand ladders, bottled water, gloves, ice scraper, motor oil, single use latex gloves, paper towels, bungee cords, spare led 194s, duct tape, gorilla tape clear repair, superglue, more duct tape, flashlights, food, eye protection, hearing protection, socket set, led lantern, fire extinguisher, screwdriver set, motorcycle helmet, aluminum baseball bat, baseball and baseball glove, crowbar, bear mace, spare fuses, pliers for fuses, first aid kit, air compressor, tire pressure gauge, activated carbon breathing mask.
Boy Scout motto: be prepared. |
Hahaha. Back when I was a Boy Scout, we did several 2 day weekend hikes, where you hiked and then overnight camped, then hiked some more. You learned quick after doing it once what not to bring lol.
Getting back on topic, I don't keep crap in my cars. Truck has some rope, bungee cords, jumper cables, tire gauge, pen and paper, a CD or 2, sunglasses and that's it. Car is about the same, factory tool kit, jumper cables, car duster, windshield sun shade, a few CD's, sunglasses, tire gauge, pen and paper, microfiber towels and a bottle of quick detail in case a bird *****s on it. |
I keep it simple. Tire gauge and a mini compressor.
|
I like having a few tools in my truck just for ease of access if nothing else.
|
Need to get some Mr Clean Magic Erasers again too - useful on refurbishing some of the cars that come in at work.
|
The SO's car, a cell phone, call a tow truck and call a cab. done. My car, no comments.

Tire gauge, small blade, jumper cables, water, and blankets. Personally don't like too much clutter in the car

Interestingly, here in Maryland, any fixed blade, or even a razor, is considered a dangerous weapon and you are not allowed to carry one. However, a folding and locking blade of any length is perfectly legal to carry. Makes perfect sense.

Tire gauge, tool kit, and first aid kid all in the spare tire compartment.
Pack of gum in the armrest Insurance papers and the like in glovebox. Otherwise interior is spotless. |
Currently in my lexus; just a charging cable for my cell phone and the first aid pack that is velcro'd in the back of my trunk. My other car has my tool box with wrenches, sockets and screw drivers. I also keep a box of detailing supplies with micro fiber towels and armor all wipes.
|
Up front, a tire guage, sunglasses, coins, gas credit cards and cloth to wipe down the shiny areas.
In the trunk, under my cargo net, a ton of bags from Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. On the side, a first aid kit. When it is full, luggage. |
I feel very underprepared compared to you all. All i have is the first aid kit that came with my cars lol
|
Depends on the car.
Road emergency kit, air pump, box of shells, scattergun, lockbox for handgun(s) |
In the front? Not much, I like to keep my interiors spotless. Jacket/gloves for a cold day under a seat, pocket knife in the middle compartment, phone charger, umbrella, raincoat (one of those cheap ones that fit in a quart sized baggy) and car papers in the glovebox.
In the trunk? Milk crate full of detailing stuff, 150 piece tool set, two first aid kits (Lexus and a Johnson and Johnson kit), jumper cables and a tire gauge. That milk crate and toolset take up way too much space in my IS, probably should move them into the RX... |
