Tesla Model 3
Nice. Yeah I also was impressed with the 3's interior when I drove one a few months ago. And it drives nicely - not too numb on the steering, and plenty of power. I like my ICE cars (for the practicality, sound, etc), but my wife is trying to talk me into getting a 3 to replace my IS when my lease is up. We'll see...

I toy with the ideal of ordering especially Performance model but build quality and bugs in the software really put me off. If the car has build quality of say Porsche I won’t think twice. Nice thing about Tesla is that it’s future proof somewhat. They can update UI or functions of the car via software. Lack of speedometer doesn’t bother me once I sat in the car. Btw, standard wheels have ugly aero cover which can be removed they’re actally nice looking without the cover.
Thanks for your input, ST430.
What did you think of the Model 3's overall build-quality? (I don't think you mentioned it) They may be electronically-advanced, but have the reputation of being thrown together on the assembly-line like a kiddie-car.

Impressed yet?
It’s hard to believe it, but indeed it’s true. In the month of August, the Tesla Model 3 alone outsold all passenger cars from BMW. And we don’t have to add any asterisks(*) either.Tesla Model 3 sales in August hit an estimated 17,800 units, an all-time high for any plug-in electric car ever. Surely that’s impressive, but what if we look at it in a slightly broader way.Like, for example, how does that 17,800-unit figure stack up against say BMW passenger car sales. And no, we don’t mean just 3 Series sales, but rather all passenger car sales by BMW in the U.S. for the month of August. Well, short answer is that BMW loses. Here’s a look at that sales figure:- BMW passenger cars August 2018 – 14,450

Tesla may have struggled through “production hell” to build the Model 3, but the car has helped the company set a new record: $4 billion in revenue in the second quarter of 2018, according to an earnings report published on Wednesday. It also reached another milestone: the Model 3 is finally starting to make Tesla some money. The plan to sell the more expensive versions of Tesla’s mass market car so that the company doesn’t “die” is working.
The Model 3’s gross margins, a measure of the revenue that the company retains after costs associated with producing it, turned “slightly positive” in Q2, according to the company. That’s despite the fact that production was still ramping up and that Tesla had yet to ship any of the expensive All-Wheel Drive performance versions of the car. “This was a significant achievement in the ramp of Model 3,” the company concludes in a letter to investors released with the report.
Until recently, Tesla had been losing money on every Model 3 that it shipped. Tesla says that the Model 3’s gross margin “should grow significantly” to approximately 15 percent in the third quarter and 20 percent in fourth quarter, thanks to “continued reduction in manufacturing costs and to some extent an improving mix.” From here on out, CEO Elon said during a call with analysts Wednesday evening, “the goal is to be profitable and cash flow positive every quarter going forward.”

It didn't help also when Elon decided to smoke pot on the Joe Rogan interview. BTW one of the most fascinated interviews I have ever watched. Elon is truly brilliant. I really believe he already has his Neuralink connected to his brain.
