This is not a separate model

Has Lexus registered a name for this? We are all calling it RX-L, but is that what it's going to be called?
It's actually not too hard to make the profile of a third row SUV look good. The new Tiguan is a decent example. A shorter version is available on other continents, but one would never know just by looking at our version. Lexus has it's hands full trying to transform the funky curved pillar it decided to slap on the current version. I wish them luck getting out of that mess.

I don't think it'll be that much longer. The Santa Fe Sport and 3row Santa Fe have separate wheelbases as well, 106.3 vs 110.2. The RX already shares the Highlander wheelbase at 109.8 and length at 192.5. And from the spy pics (for whatever it's worth) the door doesn't look all different.

Why people who don't want three rows have such a problem with this vehicle is beyond me. If you don't want 3 rows...just buy the 2 row RX. What is so wrong with having a 3 row version for people who want that?

If you buy a 3-row crossover to only occasionally use that 3rd row, fold it down when not in use and you have the equivalent space of a 2-row crossover.

Well of course, where else is the third row going to go? It folds down...

I agree. Now with the kids if I buy an SUV, I want 3 rows just for the option.
If if they turned the RX into a 3 row vehicle I could see the argument, but what's the issue with having a 3 row version?
