It's less. My dealer charges $119 for the 5k and $225 for the 10k.

Well, they charge me nothing because I only have them do the free ones.

I enjoyed the dealer for a long time before I realized I enjoyed the astoundingly enormous savings of using my independent mechanic more. For the little services it's not that big a difference...but when you get to 30k? It's like $300 cheaper.

Personally, I would just take it in. I have always followed the manufacturer's recommended maintenance and for the most part, with Toyota and Lexus I have never really had any issues.
