That's annoying as hell.
That's not a problem here in NYC... are you actually driving it with 1 bar ? Mine gets pretty close, sometimes it gets closer than I would..

Yes lol. I've had two different vehicles with radar cruise, neither of which gets close enough on one bar to keep people from wanting to pass me on the right and fill that gap.

That won't do you much good if you are already going too fast (per cruise control) for slippery conditions to start with. Even with the anti-lock brakes and traction/stability control working, the tires are only going to have so much grip (risking hydroplaning and traction-loss) on a slippery surface, and electronics can't change that. One cannot overrule the laws of physics.

Bingo.

Perhaps so. I find some safety features annoying myself......like the automatic door-locking when you start up from rest, and the brake-pedal/shifter interlock that restricts some shifter movement in or out of Park unless your foot is on the brake. I also find lane-beepers annoying....especially the way they were originally done on Infiniti vehicles. But, in most cases, like it or not, they were put there for a reason.

I'd rather have my foot on the gas pedal than hovering over the brake pedal.

On trips I definitely use CC to prevent myself from hauling ***. I borrowed my coworkers valentine v1 on my last trip from Miami to Naples I had CC set to 110mph the entire way lol.

What is silly? Foot on the gas pedal or hovering foot over brake pedal?

Time to stop at a gas station, walk, and relax. That is what helps. Cruise control. Naah.

CC is not intelligent. Autonomous cars are. I can be reading a book of playing a game while I go about. Like a taxi.
