I agree the LC is good option compared to current 650i. I would pick the LC for sure.

The new 6 and 8 series coupes are around the corner both will have AWD option and do 0-60 in less than 4sec. with the V8TT.
Not to mention the M6 and M8 shortly after.

Lots of competition in the $100k class for sure.

Everyone keeps talking about more power but my boss made a good point yesterday.
The LC500 is a GT. 471 hp is pretty good power for a GT.
The Lexus that needs 550hp is the RC F. Its a sport car. It needs the power to compete with its class.

Here's an even better point. Lets have a 500-plus option for all...the GSF, RCF and LC500.

This! But I think the only Lexus engine capable of producing that much power right now is the V10 in LFA. Highly doubt that we would see it on any other model

I thought the GT3 is equipped with a modified RCF V8 engine? Knowing Lexus they would never release anything like that to public.

I wonder how many iterations of this car they will release. Due to its unique styling, there's no doubt sales will fall off after a year or two pretty sharply (as with any "cool" sports car, really). I hope Lexus jumps on the special edition train and releases a few different versions.

Yes. I was highlighting that the 5.0 has the capability as we've seen in the IS F from 416hp to 540hp in the RC F GT3. Lexus likely detunes for longevity, but the 5.0 is a very capable mill.

I wonder if the RCF and GSF will get the 10speed auto for 2018?

I think both of these F cars and the LC will be looked very favorably 10years from now when NA V8s are extinct.
If they prove to be reliable as most Lexus engines, these cars will be in demand. Too bad Lexus offers no manual option as that would def make them future classics.

How in demand is the original ISF? I bet people will have moved on from NA V8s in 10 years.

I hope it doesn't disappear. Last time I drove an ISF on a track, it was an out of this world experience. WILD

Used ISFs are holding their value very well, especially compared to a same model year M3 or other sports sedan.

Very much so in demand. Clean examples are harder and harder to find. So few for sale (besides the 08) across the country. Wonderful performance machine.
And guys are getting over 425 to the wheels in ISFs with just I/H/E/T, which is right around 500hp at the crank....I'm quite sure the RCF, GSF, and LC500 will be able to achieve 550 crank HP with the same mods (still all 5.0 motor) once available, etc.

Quick check of ebay motors has several 2008 IS-F's with under 75k miles for about $28,000 to $30,000. That's very strong resale for any car that is 9 years old. Newer ones were even more pricey, up to a 2014 with 15k miles they were asking $50,000 for.
