So, is this a 6 series fighter ? I know the engine is somewhat weak compared to the M6, but what about the size?
The 6 is a huge coupe, which I think is a big plus. How big is the LC ?
We all know that the size was the main reason the old SC was not selling too well. I hope that this one is much more roomier.

Below are the Lexus International preliminary specs..

It is a beautiful coupe. Almost makes the 650i and S550 coupes look boring in some respects. It's hard to say unless you see in person. There's some Aston Martin here.
Where exactly are the extra pounds of the reportedly 4300lbs curb weight going? Especially since it doesn't have awd.
The front end is busy - still with that spindle grill and intakes. Both the headlights and tail lights have the black chome trim that looks like it's "bleeding" down or melting down into the fenders. Too busy.
But you can't say Lexus makes boring cars anymore.

Just got back from day 1 at Detroit, and seeing this in person at the press conference, my jaw dropped. This car looks INSANE in person. I was blown away that they carried forward so much from the LF-LC concept that I saw in 2012. The LC500 is so low and sleek, it's like nothing you've ever seen before. I'm trying to get actual interior shots, but the car has been locked up and the Lexus rep says most likely continue to be locked up for the duration of the show. Will try again for more pics tomorrow. Here's a handful from today.

With all the new technology being used below I expected numbers just slightly north of the 3,300 lb LFA..
2017 LC 500
So far that's not the case..

Even with the rumored "Baby LFA" name lingering over it.

The Germans have been known to top 4200lbs but for a good reason. If the LC500 drives as well on the street and better than the Germans, curb weight may not matter.
The looks of this car deserve 600-650hp...with all that weight...let this car be Lexus' version of the aston martin vanquish!! ............how many pple will actually pay the 35k premium for a better looking RC-F?

They even put Goodyear spec tires right off a BWM 650i coupe.. On the stage 3 prototype during testing at Laguna Seca..

Both generations of the SC had 4 seats too.
