Default Bugatti oil change................. $21K

https://roadtrippers.com/stories/bug...=-96.67528&z=5

An oil change for the Bugatti Veyron costs more than your entire car

Next time you complain about how expensive your car was or how you hate paying for oil changes, just remember the Bugatti Veyron. At a cost somewhere in the $1.7-2.7 million dollar range just to buy one, it’ll also cost you a fortune to own one…

For starters, you’ll need to get the standard servicing you get on any late-model car… The price tag on an oil change & standard service on a Bugatti Veyron? $21,000. Did you hear us? Over $20,000. Heck, that’s more than a lot of us paid for our last car…

Then there's the tires... Tires may be one of the least satisfying things to buy… You just kind of need them, and they’re an easy way to dump $500-1000 just to keep your car on the road. Well, $600 or so bucks for some new rubbers seems like a drop in the bucket compared to the $40,000+ price tag on some Bugatti treads. (Of course, $40,000 may seem like a drop in the bucket to a Bugatti owner. All is relative, we suppose.) The other bummer? Bugatti recommends replacing them WAY more often than your everyday passenger car.

And insurance? You don’t even want to know. Expect to pay between $30,000-50,000 a year just to keep your Veyron properly insured, and God knows, you want that expensive beast insured to the sky and back.

Of course, the Bugatti Veyron is an extreme example, but supercar ownership is outrageously expensive. It’s just the way it is. Here’s a Ferrari service chart from the Ferrari Maserati of Fort Lauderdale thanks to Ferrari DIY:

Wowza, that is quite the mark-up!

To our resident LFA owners, how much does an oil change cost? Also, where do you get it serviced/or does Lexus come to you?

I love the Veyron but those prices are ridiculous. One of the reasons I appreciated the Acura NSX so much was that not only was it well built and reliable but maintaining did not cost much more then a common Acura sedan, can't say that about a Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, Lotus, Viper, or certainly not a Veyron. I hope the new NSX is also reliable and does not cost a fortune to service/maintain.

these prices are only ridiculous to the people who can't afford the bugatti. how these mark ups work has been happening since the beginning of time.

example:

A greddy dual stainless steel exhaust for a wrx is 999 dollars. a greddy dual stainless exhaust for a gtr is 3000 dollars. the more money your car cost, the more money the product will cost. same amount of stainless used, even if the wrx makes more power, its not worth anymore. sad but true.

That doesn't seem right at all.

It's actually $11 for the filter, and $20,960 for the crush washer.

Waiting for posters to come in and say how they'd rather have 17 GTRs for the price of one Bugatti.

Or how they could eat out over 1000 times for the price of the oil change.

Lol the internet is pretty funny.

Its like us spending 10 cents on an oil change. These people dont usually even ask. It just gets done.

Unfortunately, Henry's right. To the average Bugatti owner, that kind of money is chump-change.

honestly i am not surprised if we have a "harder" feeling spending 100 bucks on oil change than them spending 21k on the veyron.

i can't remember the article i read but i think on average veyron owners have around 80 cars in their collections. imagine that

I look at things more on principle than on actual cost. If the oil for a Bugatti actually costs $5k to begin with and they have to run it through and drain it twice, and Bugatti also flies out two specialist techs just to work on the car, and Bugatti buys me some champagne and has a model or two hang out with me during the oil change, then OK, maybe $21k is at least a "justifiable" cost. If it's a cheaper oil and a less intensive process than the LFA and Bugatti/dealers just pocket the rest, that's a factor that would be a big negative in my consideration of whether I would buy the car. (I believe someone posted pics of the Bugatti oil as a specially-made Castrol 10W-60 that costs ~$1500, so while that's a lot more than, say, the LFA oil costs, a rightful opinion probably tends far towards the latter.)

I pay ~$1500 for my annual maintenance, which includes all fluids such as oil change. I have it done at the Lexus dealer.

Seems reasonable for a $400K supercar

And not too much more than Oil Change and Fluids from those older Ferrari's posted above
