uh, who calls it a new LS? They called it a facelift... PR calls every new MY a new car because thats PR.

And anyway, minor? They completely changed the interior. Lexus never had as extensive facelift in the history.

Feel free to point out facelift that did more from German brands? I mean they updated CLS but left it with interior design that takes back to early 2000 models.

Easily the best looking LS for me, makes old one look like a Camry.

Another year and more and more the LS fades. They are going to have to pull out a huge amount of changes for the next model. Mercedes has set the bar with the S550. If Lexus hopes to remain even remotely relevant they need to knock one out of the park with the next LS. If not I fear it will be known as a reliable car yes, but not even a competitor.

No one expected a redesign this year, so this is no surprise. But they have a long way to go to compete with the current vehicles. They had sat back on their reliability and done NOTHING to innovate.

I just don't like those new corporate look Lexus wing mirrors! They started using them on the CT and now even the LS has them!

They look so cheap and flimsy!

Decent upgrades on a serene vehicle.

Sounds like some are ye of little faith.

Lexus takes their time because they don't rush to market and make sure to dot every 'i' and cross every 't'.

Have patience, the 5LS when unleashed will be something else

To play devil's advocate, I have to wonder about Lexus dotting every I and crossing every T. There are far too many instances where they don't do that.

One instance for example. The current powertrains are long in the tooth, and Lexus is testing new gen extensively before application. Rumors of LS500, LSh (500hp AWD V6), LS F (FI 5.0). Let's hope they're right

Let's just hope they don't make it all hybrid.

What do you mean not all hybrid? I think hybrid is the main selling point of Lexus. Now if performance could match or better conventional vehicles, while highly improving mileage, then there is no better choice than Lexus.

Simply put they won't. There will most likely be two V8's NA and FI (F) and a V6 Hybrid with AWD.

The Hybrid needs to knock the socks off of the S class. Right now, the S class plug in hybrid is the best of both worlds (except for trunk space). its just as fast as the V8 with 20 miles of pure electric driving. The LSh needs at least 30 combined mpg

Means exactly what I said. I hope it is not all hybrid.
