Default Question of the Week: What's the Best Lexus Marketing Slogan?

Just posted this on the homepage. If you're curious about where the phrase "When it rains it pours" comes from, you should head over and read it.

But sticking to Lexus. I think the company hit it out of the park on the first pitch--"The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection." There have been others over the years--including "The Passionate Pursuit of Perfection" variant--and the "Engineering the Impossible" theme of advertisements, which I never cared for.

To quote Lou Reed, "Impossible doesn't mean very difficult. Very difficult is winning the Nobel Prize; impossible is eating the Sun."

What's you're favorite Lexus slogan? Or what should it be. Let me know!

Personally, nothing beats the "The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection". It's my all time best hands down.

Same here.

Engineering Impossible? That sounds very silly to me.

as far as i'm concerned 'relentless pursuit of perfection' is the only slogan there is for lexus.

and some taglines should never change. 'the ultimate driving machine' for example.

was it really engineering impossible? They did an "Engineering Amazing" for a while too.

"The pursuit of perfection" I think is best as it cuts it down to an easy slogan. The relentless pursuit of perfection is kind of a mouthful and doesn't flow as easily off the tongue

I have to agree here. I don't think that Lexus has ever come up with anything better than that pursuit slogan...........although, personally, I don't think most of today's Lexus products are designed and built as well as they were 10-20 years ago, with the RX being a possible exception. .

The last few years, though, at BMW, have seen somewhat of a change from the "Ultimate Driving Machine" to the "Ultimate Jive-ing Machine".

Not a fan of the "Amazing in Motion" that Lexus International is trying to push.

it just needs 'pursuit of perfection'. i could careless if it has passionate, relentless, or whatever in front of it.

Also, I am partial to "December to Remember". Because that is when I got my RX

Thanks! Also, "December to Remember" is more of a sales event than an actual company slogan - but it is a great one .

All the slogans nowadays from car manufacturers, like "Wir leben Autos" and everything else on those lines, probably goes in at one ear and out the other, but the one hype Lexus had which is actually quite near the truth was: "Can you afford not to drive a Lexus?"
