Mechanic Wrecks Customer's $200,000 Lamborghini

Talk about almost pulling a "Ferris Bueller"...:egads:

"Niklas Schwartz, a 29 year-old mechanic in Rainbach, Austria is in trouble after totaling a $200,000 Lamborghini. Schwartz told police that he couldn't help himself after completing repairs on the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, and just HAD to take the expensive supercar on a joy ride with his friend. Apparently, when Niklas and his friend were on their joyride, he over-accelerated on the wet road, which sent the supercar skidding across the highway and into the barrier. No one was injured, but the $200,000 Lamborghini was totaled. We're guessing Niklas won't be getting many luxury cars into his shop anytime soon. Find more Broken News Daily videos on Yahoo Screen."

On wet roads no less. What a douche. Bet he had the traction control switched off too.

Hope he carries enough insurance to cover that, or he may be out of business (if I were in charge, he would be anyway).

I would beat him like I was his dad. So tired of these stories of dealership techs and mechanics destroying peoples cars. In the end we only hear about the situations that lead to damage. Imagine how many times they must do this and get away with it. Then we go in asking why the car has an engine or suspension problem and in turn it only puts more money in their pockets in the end

The good news is, this Gallardo is old, only worth $90k or so, and the mechanic is young at 29, the rest of his life should be long enough to pay this off over time. So no biggie, everything is fine :p
