Remote Start IS350 F-sport 2014
I just purchased a 2014 IS350 f-sport and paid for a remote start. Went to the dealer waited 3 hours for them to install only to find out they are not compatible with my car because of Nav. The service manager said there is no fix and "no plans to correct the problem" The option still shows on the Lexus website. I find this completely unacceptable as I probably would not
have purchased this car if they would have told me the option was not available. This is poor communication on the part of Lexus!!

sorry to hear. if you don't want the car knowing this, maybe talk to the sales manager and explained that it was misrepresented?

and you're right, no mention of incompatibility on lexus' website. did the dealer install a lexus accessory, or their own after market one?

They were installing the Remote Start Plus(Lexus Product)which was suppose to be compatible with my iphone. They would not consider (which I'm glad) an after market starter. Hopefully Lexus will step up and figure out a solution!!

Also check your state laws on this one. I was unaware till recently, for instance, that, even in my own state of VA, it is illegal for a car engine to be running without somewhat actually sitting in the driver's seat. That, of course, prevents the actual use of remote-start.

I use mine all the time on my SC430.
It might, or might not, be illegal to use in VA. Personally, I don't really care.
But, the law does not prevent me from using it.
All the law does is tell me what happens as a punishment if I'm caught using it.

The pleasures of buying a first year model. I did this with my last three cars and I will never ever buy a first year model again . Nothing but "teething issues" ( not implying this is a huge issue but its enough to **** an owner off) plus you end up losing out of the refresh that inevitable will come in about 3-4 years
