Default A Lamborghini Huracán for the Italian Polizia

If I'd see one of these in my rear-view mirror, I'd beg to get pulled over!

http://www.guideautoweb.com/en/artic...ource=carguide

When they see red and blue strobe lights in their rearview mirror, some drivers unconsciously calculate their chances of running away. Even if the police drive an arsenal of powerful patrol vehicles, some of us daily drive cars that could easily blow the doors off a V6 Charger, police pack or not. But I’m pretty sure that in Italy, no one runs away from the Polizia, since they now drive a Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4!

The Sant’Agata manufacturer started collaborating with the Italian police in 2004, when they gave a Gallardo to their recruitment department. Over the following decade, other Lamborghinis were added to the Polizia’s fleet, and they are used for crime prevention, transporting important cargo and even high-speed chases on the Autostrada.

However, those first Gallardos are starting to show their age. After all, police duty is hard on a car, and Italian supercars are not exactly known for their reliability… Lamborghini will give the State Police new means to pursue the fastest criminals, with a Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4.

With a 610HP, 5.2L V10 engine screaming behind the seats, the Huracán can reach up to 325 km/h, more than enough to make speeders think twice about breaking the law. At that point, even the mighty Ducatis are not safe from this monster!

I like the "crime prevention" statement. I agree, one look at this beast and no in hell will want to evade law enforcement!

Default Lamborghini gets to work on Huracán LP610-4 Super Trofeo

28-May-2014
The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 takes to the track with Lamborghini Accademia 2014

After its official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and having garnered more than 1500 orders from all over the world, the new supercar from the House of the Raging Bull is playing the starring role in Lamborghini Accademia 2014, which takes to the grid on 2 June in Imola.

Lamborghini Accademia is holding its first 2014 session on June 2 to 4 at Imola Racetrack. The lead role is awarded to the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4, the new luxury super sports car unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The Lamborghini Accademia program, by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, provides Lamborghini customers with intensive driving courses on the track, so they can take their first steps into the world of motor racing. "Learning by doing is best" is the philosophy behind the Accademia, which offers two programs - one intensive and one advanced - with a team of professional instructors who have extensive experience in the racing world.

The Accademia provides the remarkable opportunity to fully experience the potential of Lamborghini super sports cars on both track and ice (Winter Accademia). It's a captivating combination of high performance vehicles on some of the world's legendary race tracks.

Thanks for that one Motor. Fantastic video highlighting the refinement that has come to the Huracan vs the Gallardo it replaced. Outstanding engineering. Looks are subjective so we'll leave it at that.

Default Lamborghini Huracan hits 329 km/h on the Autobahn [video]

325 km/h official top speed

YouTube user Thegermansupercars had the opportunity to go flat out in a Lamborghini Huracan in Germany.

The Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 is definitely one of the hottest cars released this year and it's no wonder the Gallardo replacement is getting extensive media coverage. Seen here is an example driven on an unrestricted section of the Autobahn and at one point during the eight-minute long video it manages to hit 329 km/h (204 mph), thus confirming Lamborghini's official maximum top speed of more than 325 km/h (202 mph).

The all-wheel drive Huracan makes use of Lamborghini's well-known 5.2-liter V10 naturally-aspirated engine pumping out 610 PS (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) sent to the road through a dual-clutch 7-speed transmission enabling the baby Lamborghini reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 3.2 seconds while the 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) journey takes 9.9 seconds.

Wonder why the Aventador uses a single-clutch seven-speed semi-automatic and the Huracan uses a 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual

Default Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo teased

Equipped with the same 610 PS V10 5.2-liter

Lamborghini has released a teaser image for the upcoming Huracan Super Trofeo.

The Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo is on its way to a well-deserved retirement as Lamborghini has started the teasing came for its successor, the Huracan LP 610-4 Super Trofeo. Taking into account the moniker, the track-only Huracan will keep the V10 5.2-liter naturally aspirated engine of the road-going version which packs 610 PS (448 kW).

However, the power will be wrapped around in a lighter and more aerodynamic body which will make the Huracan Super Trofeo go faster around corners. Based on this single teaser image, Sant'Agata Bolognese's track weapon dressed in army camouflage will adopt a heavily revised front fascia which should increase downforce and offer additional cooling. Although not visible from the attached photo, the vehicle will likely feature a large rear wing, a lowered and stiffer sports suspension together with a stripped out cabin to shave off excess weight.

Set to compete in next year's Blancpain Super Trofeo series, the race-spec Huracan will be seen alongside the outgoing Gallardo Super Trofeo as Lamborghini has announced existing owners of the Gallardo ST will still be able to use their cars. However, the Gallardo and Huracan Super Trofeo models will compete in different classes.

Default DMC unveils their Lamborghini Huracan Affari

Click here to view more photos

Features styling and performance upgrades

A lot of people wouldn't mind having an affair with the Lamborghini Huracan so DMC has decided to use the Italian word on their latest model.

Dubbed the Affari, the car has been equipped with an aerodynamic body kit that includes front lip spoilers, a rear spoiler and a prominent rear wing. The model also has carbon fiber mirror caps, a sportier rear diffuser and 20 / 21-inch alloy wheels.

DMC was coy on performance specifications but they confirmed the model will be equipped with "stronger ECU programming." This means we can expect the Affari to produce more than 610 PS (448 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque.

I think they said the designers wanted that violent shift feel in Corsa. Plus with the already hefty curb weight they may have been trying to go lighter. not sure
