Anyways, we'll see how this goes.....................but one thing is for sure and it's that the xDrive versions of this car will come later this year. =)
In fact, I would prioritize this over a BMW X1............and (to some extent) the BMW X3 as well

Purportedly Leaked BMW Document Says 2-Series Active Tourer Coming to U.S. in 2015
Take what you read with a grain of salt, but according to an allegedly official BMW document mapping the brand's product presentations for the 2015 model year that was leaked online over at Bimmerpost, the Bavarian firm has plenty of interesting arrivals planned for the USA over the course of the next 12 months.
While BMW officials have denied reaching a decision on offering the new 2-Series Active Tourer in the States, surprisingly, the list says the compact minivan will reach dealers next spring in two guises, the front-wheel drive 220i and the all-wheel drive 225xi.
We spoke to BMW USA press spokesman Julian Arguelles, who told us, "The 2 Series Active Tourer has been launched in other markets and no decision has been made on a possible launch for the US market".
Other highlights listed in the document include an expansion of the 2-Series Coupe with new all-wheel drive variants, including the 228xi and M235xi, the arrival of the next generation X6 (F16) late this summer and the new X5M and X6M in the beginning of 2015.
Again, let us stress that we have no way of knowing if the document is real.

Static Preview of BMW 2-Series Active Tourer and Prospective Buyers’ Impressions
It cannot be denied that only a certain (probably quite small) slice of current BMW drivers bought their car because it was acknowledged as being competent to drive, low slung and rear-wheel driven – enthusiast reasons. The reason for buying one now is the badge, the perceived quality and the efficiency of the diesels above all else, while admittedly some like the way other (lesser) cars get out of the way of their trademark split grille and daytime running lights.
This means the new 2-Series Active Tourer will tap into the same buyer base as the other, traditional RWD models. For instance, someone went out and bought the 1-Series purely because it was the cheapest BMW they could get, yet they never really got along with it quoting space and winter driving quibbles – the people for whom those are arguments don’t actually want a BMW, so the Active Tourer will be right up their econobox alley…
Make no mistake, BMW’s first MPV will be a great car to drive and be a passenger in, for what it is; they can’t afford to mess it up, and they won’t. If you’ve been in or driven any of the latest crop of MINIs, then the only thing about the Active Tourer that will surprise you is the extra interior room, and as per this WhatCar? reader preview, while being annoyed by the placement of the cupholders and the way the fake boot floor opens.

BMW’s first-ever front-wheel drive production car, the 2-Series Active Tourer, will land in German dealerships on September 27, with prices starting from €27,200 ($36,782). This week, the automaker released a huge photo gallery and a detailed presentation of its new model.
Being an MPV, practicality has to be a priority for the 2-Series Active Tourer, with BMW stating that it has a versatile luggage compartment, with a capacity of 468 liters (16.5 cu-ft) that can be expanded to 1,510 liters (53.3 cu-ft) when the rear seats are folded. The rear backrest is offered as standard with a 40:20:40 split-folding ratio, and the rear seat also slides in order to increase legroom in the rear or load capacity. There is also a foldable boot floor that houses a storage compartment with a multifunction tray.
The 2-Series Active Tourer is offered with BMW's latest generation three- and four-cylinder turbocharged engines installed transversely. There are three units offered at launch: a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder petrol producing 136PS (134hp) in the 218i, a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol producing 231PS (228hp) in the 225i and a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel with 150PS (148hp) in the 218d.
The latter is also the most economical, averaging 4.1 l/100 km (57.3 mpg US) and emitting 135 g/km of CO2. The fastest model is the 225i, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph).
Standard equipment includes Radio Professional including a hands-free telephone facility with Bluetooth interface, the BMW iDrive control system with controller on the center console and 6.5-inch Control Display, a rain sensor and automatic headlight activation, a sports leather steering wheel, the Intelligent Emergency Call system and Collision Warning with City Braking function.
The 2-Series Active Tourer will also be available with the M Sport package from the end of 2014.
