My new ride after the IS-F: BMW Z4 twin turbo M sport photo shoot
So after dropping the ISF and the FX35 for more fuel efficient vehicles, I felt my testosterone level depleting. I need something to recharge my batteries. I looked at R8s, GTRs, Evoras but seeing as how I'm trying to actually BE rich instead of car rich. I scaled back my aspirations and found an awesome deal on the exact BMW I wanted.
I missed my S2000 but also missed the easy and cheap tuning abilities of the N54 motor from my BMW 335xi. So, the perfect match for that was the new Z4. With bolt-on mods, you can easily get over 500 bhp in these cars.
I found this Z4 in Cleveland, it had everything I wanted. Turbocharged, black exterior/red interior, M sport package, loaded options and the 7 speed dual clutch transmission. It had low miles and a good price so I had to act quickly.
So I wired the money to the dealership. Then that Saturday, I woke up at 4am and caught a 6am flight to Cleveland. Picked up the car and drove back 8 hours to St. Louis in one day. Since buying the car three weeks ago I have done a list of modifications which continue to grow:
-Removed the badges
-Tinted the windows
-Installed BMW Performance Black grilles
-Changed out orange bumper reflectors with painted ones
-Changed the stock BMW wheels and run flats to 19" BBS CF wheels with non-runflat Continental ContiSport3 tires with 235/35 up front and 275/30 in the rear.
-Changed halogen angel eyes to 30W CREE LED bulbs
-Installed dual cone air intakes
-Burger Motorsports JuiceBox4 ECU piggyback increasing from 6PSI stock boost to a fully mapped 14.5 PSI of boost
- Z-shift Charge Pipe/ Blow off valve with a methanol bung connected to a 1.5 gallon CoolingMist methanol kit.
More mods to come in the way of downpipes, FMIC and some other things but that's it for now.
So on to the pictures.
...And here's yours truly for the obligatory tuner magazine bad *** owner profile photo. LOL

wow, looks like a totally different car after mods, nice.
can you post details on year/mileage/ballpark price paid? Asking cause Z4s always seems crazy priced IMO.

Awesome choice and great photoshoot. I am digging the wheels on the car.
I have also been kicking around the idea of a GTR or something quick but agree that it would great to be "rich rather than car rich". If I dont go with the GTR Lexus has some nice products in the pipeline that may make me happy, be a better DD, and I would save A LOT. ( but I would not get that GTR bug out of my system). I almost bought a GTR 2 years ago but decided to take the huge sum of money I was saving for it and dumped into my business. Worked out well for business but still not GTR. I like your mind set.
