Makes sense as the current-gen RX went on sale in early 2009, after debuting in late 2008. The refreshed 3RX went on sale in April 2012.

With the expanded output only starting in early 2014, then I would expect the new RX to debut around mid-2014 or maybe late 2014. Likely it will be a 2015 model year vehicle, as we've now had 2 model years of the refreshed 3RX.

The new RX then should be officially unveiled sometime in the next few months at one of the auto shows.

I hope Lexus offers an IS that slots between the IS350 Fsport and the IS F. That's a BIG money gap / market they didn't fill with the 2IS.

If the IS/GS had a 350hp or so engine it would really be awesome, the chassis can handle it and it would be even more fun.

Will tuners be able to modify these new boosted engines.

I'd personally like to see Lexus stay N/A in most of their vehicles, but it's becoming difficult to keep up with what the Germans are doing in terms of horsepower, without forced induction.

Very excited about the NX and RC.

I will be most interested to see what happens with SUVs/CUVs in the next few years. Lexus has hinted that there will be a midsize, 3-row crossover but we don't know if the GX will be repositioned as such, if a new model will join the ranks, or if they will do an RX "L". LX is still, to me, the very best SUV on the market but it will need an overhaul in the next 2 years. I want Lexus to create something like the Cayenne and X5 - RWD/AWD and performance oriented.

That's not possible. The 2014 Model just hit dealerships. And it's late October. You won't see a 2015 RX in March of 2014

they almost never do expansion for old model, only for new ones... same thing happened with Rav4 plant, and for Highlander plant as well. So thats probably 3 months before new model goes on sale.

Same thing also happened for European Corolla and Auris factories, they announced expansions 2 years in advance and of course it ended up being done for new model.

I'm really enthusiastic about the LF-LC and new LS.

Something I really want to see come out of Lexus but has no rumors yet is a competitor to the MB CLS, 6 Gran Coupe, Audi A6. Lexus needs to compete in this sleek sedan (four door coupe) segment.

I too have day dreamed of a 4-Door Coupe between the GS and LS dubbed the FS. I'll take a FS-F thanks

I was kinda hoping that the GS would've fill that role or maybe even a variant of it to take on the "chic" sedans from the Germans. Say a GS-S or GS-C?

what would take on the E-Class, 5-Series, XF and A6 then? Not the ES. Makes more sense to build off the GS chassis and spawn something new

If the LF-LC turns into the next SC, I want a four door version of THAT car. SC grand coupe or something.

Should be a short model year though .

I'm still sticking with my guess of mid-to-late 2014 market arrival of the next-gen RX, with an autoshow debut in the next few months.

Yeah i kinda referenced that. Couldn't do without a "regular" sedan to battle the mid-sizers. That platform is just right for a low-slung 4-door coupish type of car tho.

I just couldn't believe it, but after some persuasive conversation on my part I was able to get some new information. The RX will in fact be a 2015 redesign. However it is slated (though subject to change) end of the year, I suppose to not take away from the NX launch
